| First off we want to thank the folks that jumped on tickets early... a lot of them are prior attendees that understand what a good time we'll have getting together. Short story is if ticket sales don't pick up rapidly, we're going to cancel the event & lose money. At the very least the deadline for ticket purchasing has moved up to this FRIDAY the 5th now. We have to tell the Country Club how many folks to feed on the 6th. We offered a few extra days after that initially because we figured we would have hit our anticipated number for price break easily after doing this twice in other locals with much success. San Antonio sold more tickets at this point. LA definitely sold more tickets at this point. We have to clear at least 110 tickets before the 5th for us to make this happen & we've got a very long way to go. Not sure what's causing the slump, I don't think it's anything on our end... considering how the other two events went, this should be an easy sell on our part. Someone post links to threads after ZCON2002 & ZCON2004 please so everyone else can get an idea of the scene. To increase the incentive, tickets 1-25 get 6 raffle tickets (thank you for being early), people 26-50 get 4. Everyone else gets 2. I'm working on lining up more raffle goodies (in LA we were basically handing stuff out to everyone we had so much) but I have a hard time justifying propositioning potential sponsors when ticket sales are not good so far and Greg & I are uncertain of the event's overall status. We do appreciate the sponsors we've talked to so far's willingness to donate blindly. Please step it up & we'll have a grand time, otherwise we're sorry to those of you that were looking forward to this, prepare for refunds & we'll see you more hardcore members in Dallas next year where we'll have a really good time then instead...
